Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. Ellie Goulding, a British singer-songwriter who rose to fame in the year 2010 when her smash songs Guns and Horses and Starry Eyed caught public attention. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. With her unique soprano warble and knack for writing engaging, but emotionally honest music, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap is at the top of the current mainstream and arty, independent-minded pop.Goulding was soon moving from the blogosphere to print media, gaining recognition from major publications such as The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. In the end, she signed a major-label agreement to Polydor Records and began making preparations to release her debut album.
