Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born South London, England into a mixed family. Her mother is English and her father is Nigerian. Her family was raised on a South London community estate, and at the age of 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She studied acting in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. She appeared in many stages during her high time at school, including the King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her acting career with the movie Storm Damage. In the years since, she's made guest appearances in Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe made her debut motion picture in the 2007 Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. Following that success her role was Elisha in the single-episode BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN which aired in 2007 and she also appeared in six episodes of Trexx and Flipside in the role of Ollie. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi role on ITV2 Drama The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was in two series, 2 and 3. Madekwe starred as the lead character for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedy made in 2008. Her credits in theatre include Little Sweet Thing by Roy Williams as well as Flight Path by David Watson.
Madekwe was chosen to play Ashley Davenport on the ABC Drama The Beautiful Life. The two-episode show aired only for 2 weeks at The CW and then it came to an end. Ashley Davenport, a character in ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen as Ashley Davenport. After appearing on the show for the first two seasons, it was announced in May 2013 that Madekwe would quit the show following a guest appearance in the premiere episode of the third season. The actress played Tituba in the TV program Salem between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe married her long-time love, Iddo. They have worked together in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he had a role alongside her in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress who was twice nominated for a Gemini Award, is a member of the large Hamilton family. Her family included her parents Roy and Patty as well as four older brothers: Brett, Todd and Bram twins, Rob, and Brett. Ashley's brothers, who were each of them extremely athletic, played hockey during the winters and baseball in the summers, meaning she basically grew up in baseball and arenas. Ashley could not walk but was able to dance. As a result, as she grew older, she discovered Baby Ballet. That was the start of Ashley's love for dancing. Ashley was a dancer who competed in all the major categories until the time she graduated from high school. The competitions she participated in included ballet, jazz, tap, pointe and Acrobatics. Every important dance competitions, including International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and others, have awarded her with the distinction of "top individualist".
